FAQ

WHAT WILL I DO AS AN UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT IN THE LAB?

As an undergraduate research assistant, you will be asked to do a variety of tasks, such as attending lab meetings, conducting literature reviews, developing new projects, creating materials, collecting data, analyzing data, and writing scientifically. Your tasks will depend on what projects are currently going on in the lab, and what stage the projects are in (i.e., development, data collection, data analysis, etc).

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPING NEW PROJECTS IN THE LAB?

Yes! The Creativity and Cognition Lab is always interested in developing new projects. We welcome ideas from undergraduate research assistants.

HOW DO I APPLY TO WORK IN THE LAB?

An application is linked at the bottom of this page. If the application is not open, the laboratory is not accepting undergraduate research assistants at this time.

CAN I WORK IN THE LAB FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY CREDIT?

Yes! If you are an undergraduate student at Western New England University, you can enroll in independent study while working in the lab, with the permission of Deana Vitrano. Limited spaces are available each semester, so please reach out ASAP if you are interested!
